Job Description
This is a Full-Time (Monday-Friday) day shift position for a Local Truck Driver, located at our Store & Warehouse in the North Buffalo/Tonawanda, NY area. Employee reports to the Delivery Manager. We are seeking a capable and qualified driver who wants to build a career within our company. Most deliveries are within WNY & Rochester areas, and even our longest route will have you home every night.

Job Responsibilites include:

• Regular & reliable on-time attendance.
• Safely & efficiently operating a range of vehicles & equipment, such as cars, various trucks, forklifts, etc., as required.
• Assisting with loading and unloading supplies & equipment from a range of vehicles and performing other assigned duties within the warehouse.
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
• Transporting and delivering items to customers in a safe and timely manner, following all company customer service, health, and safety protocols.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Communicating effectively and politely with managers, company staff, and customers.
• Maintain quality customer service including answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.

Job Requirements include:

• Valid Non-Restricted Driving License & capable of driving a range of vehicles absolutely required.
• Clean driving record with no violations in last 3 years, and at least 3 years previous commercial delivery truck driving experience absolutely required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required and Must Have Ability To: speak, read and write English comprehensibly, hear effectively, understand and follow verbal and written instructions, in English, to complete tasks.
• Must Be Authorized To Work In The USA
• Must Have strong time management skills.
• Must Have Vision Ability including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must Have Ability to effectively present information to team members and customers.
• Must Be able to pass a physical and pass a drug and background check.
• Must Have Ability to follow safety guidelines and to safely operate and use equipment and vehicles.
• Must Have Ability to walk and drive, as well as lift and carry heavy items (up to 60lbs), for extended periods.
• Must Be neat and tidy, polite, well presented, dependable, organized, team oriented and able to provide full attention to detail.
• Must have a “can-do attitude” be comfortable learning new technology, and be willing to go “above and beyond” your assigned tasks in order to cope with unexpected schedule changes.
• CDL & Air Brake ewxperience preferred.>/li>
• Forklift Certification and experience using pallet jacks preferred.
