Virex II 256 (EPA Registration 70627-24) appears on US EPA's List N for Use Against SARS-CoV-2. The EPA has stated the following:
"EPA expects the products on List N to kill SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, because they:

• Demonstrate efficacy against the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19);
• Demonstrate efficacy against a pathogen that is harder to kill than SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19); or
• Demonstrate efficacy against a different human coronavirus similar to SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).

EPA expects all products on List N to be effective against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) when used according to label directions."

For disinfectants registered with The EPA, companies are not allowed to label against a specific virus or bacteria until the efficacy data has been reviewed and approved by The EPA. Once the efficacy data has been developed, this approval process takes about 3 months for The EPA to approve a product. Diversey is currently in the process of submitting the data for Virex II 256 to The EPA.
